Medical Degree in 1984, University of Bologna, mark 110/110 with honours.
Specialization degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation from University of Milan, Italy, mark 70/70 with honours.
From 1991 she is 1st level Medical Director for the area of Research, Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation at the Movement Analysis Laboratory of the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute.
From March 1st, 2005 to December 12th, 2014 she has been Associate Professor of Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation at the University of Bologna.
From May 16th, 2011 she is Director of the Complex Structure of Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation of the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute.

Computer skills: excellent knowledge of Office applications and Internet, excellent knowledge of online databases for clinical research.
Other technologies: excellent ability to manage with optimal utilization of all the instrumentation for the analysis of posture and movement.
She has held courses on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the frame of educational activities of the Medical Faculty of the University of Bologna in the Rehabilitation area.
She held educational activities in several courses in Italy and abroad on gait analysis application in the rehabilitation field.
Within the research performed at the Movement Analysis Laboratory she has participated to numerous Current, Finalized, Regional and European research projects, as person in charge or collaborator.
She is founding member of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC), which she served as member of the Directive Council, Vice President, President and Past President.
She is founding member of the International Society Prosthetics and Orthotics Italia (ISPO Italia), which she serves as Vice President and Treasurer.
She is member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, official review of the SIMFER society.
She is a member of SIMFER, SIGASCOT, GSS, ISMULT.
She has presented over 100 reports at International Conferences, has written four monographs and translated several foreign scientific texts.
She published numerous scientific works in collections of essays, books and national and international reviews (h-index 20).
Her research interests include clinical application of movement analysis, particularly gait analysis, dynamic electromyography, joint biomechanics in the orthopedic and rehabilitation field.
