The execution of diagnostic test for the search of SARS-cov-2 in patients accessing the hospital hospitalization, scheduled or by Emergency Department, is mandatory only in the presence of respiratory symptoms or when patients develop such symptoms during the stay.
The type of test to be used is the rapid antigenic test always available within the Institute in the Emergency Room and in hospital.
It remains necessary, in relation to the current Protocol of the National Transplantation Center, to perform a pre-emptive buffer specifically of molecular type only in patients candidates for the donation of femoral epiphysis.
Only in the case of oncological patients entering normal hospitalization in a state of immunocompromise and/or immunosuppressive therapies, the indication remains from the execution of the antigenic screening test to be performed at the Unit, or independently validated by report before access. For the same types of patients in the case of access to DSA is still provided for screening by antigen buffer with report if the activity includes removal/positioning CVC or infusion therapy antiblastic.
