It provides support to the Institute's researchers in the search for funding opportunities (fundraising and scouting of projects, both with reference to competitive calls and other lines of funding) with the aim of developing the positioning of the Institute and the Scientific Direction in the pursuit of the Institute's objectives and recognition criteria; in this context, it intervenes in the analysis, drafting and presentation phase and participation in research projects funded by Italian and international public bodies, foundations and other institutions within the IRCCS recognition area.

To this end, it identifies funding opportunities from projects, evaluates calls for proposals, takes care of the technical-scientific preparation of funding applications, scientific reports of projects within the relationship with funding bodies and project partners. For the activities of defining the budget of projects and agreements, aimed at submitting funding applications, the GO is supported by the simple structure Research Administration, in functional relationship.
