Clinical and/or Scientific interests

Main interests: the main interest is aimed at the formation of hybrid organoids that is made up of different cell types such as tumor cells, stromal cells, endothelial cells and components of the extra cellular matrix to understand how they interact with each other and how they modify the surrounding environment.
Maintain these spheroids in microfluidic conditions such as organ on a chip in order to recreate the physiological conditions in which cells live as truthfully as possible.
Another field of considerable interest is understanding how nutrients are able to enter into the tumor mass when it is poorly vascularized and being able to take advantage of this path to introduce drug treatments.
